The Birth of Lighter
The history of lighter can date back to the stage when the human beings started learning how to make fire. Ever since the sparkle by rubbing 2 stickers was discovered in the lands of African, Asian and European continent, the fire has been the key economic and religious impetus in those original tribes. Obviously it is certain that the fire or kindling has its sacred significance and mysterious charm occupying the heart s and soul s of the primitive, not just the sources of warmth , but full of uncontrollable power as well.
The earliest lighter might happen to start with such a story. One member of the tribe occasionally found that while he tried rubbing the 2 small stickers hard against each other , the mysterious sparkle was made magically which soon came into their earliest camping fire, which was probably the most ancient lighter in the history of human being. Not until the 17 th century, with the wide use of box tin and tobacco pocket did it become so easy to store such things used to produce fire as flint and tinder , which made it possible enough to invent the tinderbox later. At the end of the 19 th century, there used to be some quite interesting tinderbox es in Britain, the iron shell and flint of which were replaced by convex so that people could gather the sunshine as much as possible to ignite the kindling. Because of the limited quantity of the type, it becomes such hot rarity by today's collectors.

The Era of Invention and Creation
The industrial revolution which broke out around the mid of the 18 th -19 th century shaped each industry which had undergone profound transform ation , and there was no exception to the manufacturing of lighter device. In the Crimean War ( 1853-1856 ) , it seemed that the biggest winner was not some country, but that emerging tobacco industry. Thereupon the tobacco and lighter-making industr ies have been inseparable like twins. At around the year of 1898, one kind of extraordinar ily popular product in quarry field was called magic pocket lamp then and later proved to be the exploder , the igniting principle s of which were so similar to those of the toy gun nowadays.
As the time goes by, more and better lighters are being made for sale, being a necessity of daily life, the favorite promotion gift by merchant, the souvenir as memory through some risky trip, and even only a kind of rare collections. By the early 20 th century, the times of tinderbox were over and the clients in those days demanded more choices of easier use and cheaper price including those inventions like electric lighter, battery lighter and carbinol lighter, thereafter the first brand name of lighter IMCO in the world was created and soon became so well known that it was worth regarding as Gas Empire .
