The 1st phase (1993-1997): Exploration with painstaking efforts
In 1993——Xinhai was established.
  • In December, approved by Cixi Industry & Commerce Bureau, Ningbo Xinhai Lighter Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established
    • In 1995, the annual turnover of sales broke RMB 10 million.
  • The annual turnover of sales reached RMB 11.6 million including US$1.2 million from exportation sales.

    In 1997, Xinhai realized a double leap on " products " and " market ".
  • Xinhai successfully developed the combined tank electric lighter.
  • Upon participating in the Canton Fair in 1997, Xinhai graded up new motive force for overseas sales through the promotion of new sales channels.

    The 2nd phase (1998-2001): Expansion with large-scale operation
    In 1998, Xinhai started to promote herself in terms of information & automation.
  • Through setting up computerized internal network and installing the production assembly line of electric lighter, Xinhai founded the system of scientific management and modern production of her own.
  • Over 40 models of new products were developed, 28 of which were applied for the national patent of China, and got approval of 19. Besides, 2 more models were applied abroad.

    • In 1999, Xinhai set up her Quality-Inspection Center in accordance with the international standard.
  • At the start of the year, Xinhai set up the first ISO9994 Quality Testing Center of lighter industry in Chinese Eastern Area.
    • In 2000, Xinhai realized a double promotion of both Company System and Quality Management System.
  • Xinhai took the reforms in organization system by shaping into one shares-holding corporation.
  • In August, Xinhai passed ISO9001 Quality System Management Approval.

    In 2001, in order to promote the sustainable competitiveness, Xinhai put up an expansion platform on the level of production, R&D and marketing.
  • In June, the new land with a total approved area of 24,000 square meters in Economic Development Zone started its use as the production base of electric products.
  • Xinhai became the practicing base of Zhejiang New Century Talents College by setting up Xinhai Scholarship.
  • Xinhai established Zhejiang University - Xinhai Electric Products R&D Center jointly with Zhejiang University.
    • The 3rd phase (2002-): Excellence with further progress
    In 2002, Xinhai won the anti-dumping suit for the first time and broke through CR barrier.
  • Xinhai won both of the two anti-dumpling suits against South Korea after which the disposable lighter made in Xinhai can be exported to South Korea at a duty of 76.38% lower than those domestic competitors.
  • Xinhai successfully worked out 5 models of her own intellectual property rights, breaking through the barrier of European CR Act.

    In 2003, Xinhai established the shares-holding corporation formally and won another victory of anti-dumping suit against the EU as well as the honor for compatriots.
  • In January, approved by Ningbo Municipal government, Ningbo Xinhai Electric Co., Ltd. was founded as the 8th shares-holding corporation in Cixi.
  • In June, Headquarter of Xinhai was shifted from Dafa Road to Outer North Ring of Cixi.
  • In July, the anti-dumping suit against the EU lasting over one year ended up with Xinhai’s victory. Therefore Mr. Huang Xinhua, President of Xinhai is honored as the fighter of anti- barrier in China.
